Together
began in 2009 as a result of a ministry of the Maury Hills Church and
the partnership with other churches, community organizations, and
government agencies. A community need was identified and this team
organized to solve this problem. There are a lot of people in our
community that are financially or physically unable to take care of
their home. This is our focus and desire to transform entire
neighborhoods by renovating "one house at a time."
We
are a group of people that worship, work, and/or live in Maury County.
We believe that one of the best ways to serve God is by helping people
in our community. The purpose of this ministry is to be the hands and
feet of Jesus, to share his love with others by serving them. Although
this ministry falls under the oversight of the Maury Hills Church, in
reality, it is the ministry of the entire community.
Our
current focus is the east side of Columbia, TN. However, any Maury
County homeowner, who is physically or financially unable to help
themselves, can qualify. A number of people have already been helped.
We are looking for others to serve. We want to be an example to the
nation of how one community can pull together and transform their city.
